What is Certified Nurses Assistant?
A Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for upkeeping their clients’ hygiene, ensuring their safety and facilitating social-emotional support. Their duties include and not limited to: (administering medications only if certified by MBON), cleaning a client’s living area and managing activity or care schedules.

Scholarships for qualified candidates for Certified Nurses Assistants (CNA).
AMSS is looking for candidates who:

Have high school degree or equivalent

Are multilingual, can speak and read English (mandatory) as well as foreign languages including but not limited to Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, French/Cajun, Amharic, Somali and other non-English languages.

Have limited income.

Are physically fit.

Are residents of Montgomery County.

Are interested in providing care to persons with disabilities.

Have the time and commitment to get the needed training to become
Certified Nursing Assistant. -
Must pass background checks

Committed to providing at least 15 hours of supervised volunteer services to the community.
