March is Parkinson's Awareness Month

Parkinson’s Disease affects about 5 million people world-wide. 


Symptoms include:

·       Tremor 

·       Rigidity

·       Slow movement

·       Shuffling Gait

·       Loss of the sense of smell


There is no test and no cure for Parkinson’s, but it can be managed with medication and therapy.  The Parkinson’s Association of the National Capital Area offers FREE conversation and exercise events throughout the area. for a complete listing.


People with Parkinson’s Disease should see a neurologist specializing in movement disorders.
