March 6, 2018

Parkinson’s Disease affects about 5 million people world-wide.

Symptoms include:

·       Tremor

·       Rigidity

·       Slow movement

·       Shuffling Gait

·       Loss of the sense of smell

There is no test and no cure for Parkinson’s, but it can be managed with medication and therapy.  The Parkinson’s Association of the National Capital Area offers FREE conversation and exercise events throughout the area. Seewww.PFNCA.org for a complete listing.

People with Parkinson’s Disease should see a neurologist specializing in movement disorders.
