Born in Palestine, Brother Farouq Musa immigrated to the United States in 1965 for education purposes. He started a job in 1968 and continued at the same job for 40 years. Farouq got married to his wife Salma in 1971. All thanks to God, they have five successful children and five beautiful grandchildren. Farouq took care of his mother with dementia for 7 years until she passed in 2015.
Farouq retired in 2006 and has been serving the Muslim Community Center (MCC) ever since. He is involved with the MCC building maintenance, the MCC Senior Program, the MCC Food Pantry, and the Syrian Refugees Affairs. Farouq is an assiduous and dedicated Ambassador for AMSS. We salute Brother Farouq for giving so much of himself to help us build a better life for others.
