AMSS, ICM Collaboration

March 30, 2020

The American Muslim Senior Society in partnership with the Islamic Center of Maryland is pleased to announce our first successful distribution of boxes of dried food for 30 isolated older adults and under-served families. ICM students collected and packed the boxes and designed handwritten outreach greeting cards that were placed in the individual boxes to our families in need. AMSS ambassadors included special sanitation towels and masks provided by one of our Stakeholders, "Holy Cross Faith Community Nurse Program".

Our Trained Health and Long Term Care Outreach  Ambassadors continue to reach out to our under-served older members and their families through ongoing phone calls, delivery of emergency supplies, and connecting them with needed county and community services.

AMSS is dedicated to operating its programs through a partnership in the action model. We will maximize resources and expand our outreach to reach and serve more families in need, especially during this time of hardship. Our dedicated Ambassadors are ready to respond to your concerns
