  • Public, private and volunteer transportation referrals for adults age 50 and older and adults with disabilities living in Montgomery County, Maryland. Translation service available.

  • Escorted transportation also available to qualified low-income seniors with disabilities.

Senior SmarTrip Card

  • Seniors age 65+ pay reduced rates on Ride-On bus, Metrobus and Metrorail

  • Seniors ride free on Ride On buses and some Metrobuses in Montgomery County between 9:30 am and 3 pm, Monday-Friday

  • Senior SmarTrip cards can be purchased at Montgomery County libraries or Commuter Stores.

Call-n-Ride Transportation Program 
  • Provides reduced price taxicab service to qualified low income seniors 65+ and adults with disabilities

Safe Driver Classes
  • Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) offer older driver classes in partnership with AARP.

  • We recommend visiting MCPL's website and then calling your local branch for information on class times and locations, or
