The American Muslim Senior Society (AMSS), is a 501(c)(3) health and Long-Term Care resource organization.
To empower the county's diverse 55+ and caregivers by giving them access to culturally sensitive tools and resources to improve their quality of life and give them the opportunity to live with dignity in their communities. AMSS focuses on isolated, under-served, and marginalized members.

Since 2018, AMSS has filled critical needs in Montgomery County Muslim Communities:
Conducted 28 Ambassador Training
Created partnerships with 10 Islamic Centers
Offered Scholarships and Graduated 25 Certified Nurses Assistants
Graduated 67 Health and Long- Term Care Outreach Ambassadors
Made over 1500 home visits to older members and caregivers
Provided shelters to 150 persons in need
Provided 560 emergency funds for medical, housing, and burial needs.
Disseminated 10000+ county’s health-related flyers, educational information through community events, program activities, and our outreach to senior centers
